Wrike’s paid plans start at $10 per user a month for Team and $25 per user a month for Business, billed yearly. There is a free plan, and the top tiers, Pinnacle and Apex, are quote-only. These prices apply to new purchases made on or after January 21, 2026. A 14-day free trial is available.

I have onboarded several teams onto Wrike. The per-seat price is rarely the problem. The surprises come from yearly billing, minimum seat counts and features that sit one tier higher than you expect. Prices come from wrike.com/price and Wrike’s subscription help page, checked in October 2026.

Team covers small groups; most departments land on Business. Chart: WorkManagementHub, from wrike.com/price.

What each plan really gets you

Free covers tasks and subtasks, board and table views, folders and the mobile and desktop apps. It does not include Gantt charts, dashboards, custom fields or automations. It is fine for a very simple to-do workflow.

Team ($10) adds interactive Gantt charts, shareable dashboards, custom fields and automations. It is capped at 15 users. For a small agency or project team, this is often enough.

Business ($25) adds the things departments need: request forms with logic, file proofing, time tracking, resource planning, approvals and more admin control. You can buy Business online for up to 20 seats. Above 20, you talk to sales.

Pinnacle and Apex add budgeting, advanced reporting, stronger security and, on Apex, Wrike’s most advanced AI and automation tools. Expect a sales process and a yearly contract.

Real yearly costs

Team sizeTeam planBusiness plan
5 users$600$1,500
10 users$1,200$3,000
15 users$1,800$4,500
25 usersNot allowed (15-user cap)$7,500
50 usersNot allowed$15,000 (quote likely)

These are list prices billed yearly. Big teams often get a discount through sales. Tax is extra.

Billing gotchas

  1. Yearly billing is the default. Plan for the full yearly cost up front.
  2. The Team plan stops at 15 users. Hit user 16 and you must move everyone to Business. That jumps a 15-person bill from $1,800 to at least $4,800 a year (16 users on Business).
  3. Seat cuts are not self-service. Wrike’s help page says downgrades or seat reductions usually need your account team. Do not overbuy.
  4. Business online purchase stops at 20 seats. Above that, you go through sales.
  5. Add-ons cost extra. Things like extra AI, integrations and advanced security can be sold on top. Get them in writing.
  6. Old customers may be on legacy plans. If you bought before January 21, 2026, your plan and price may differ from today’s.

A worked example: a 12-person marketing team

Say a marketing team has 12 people. Eight plan and run campaigns. Four only drop in to review files and leave comments.

  • On Team: 12 seats at $10 is $1,440 a year. But Team has no proofing or request forms, which this team uses every day. They end up approving files in email.
  • On Business, all paid seats: 12 seats at $25 is $3,600 a year. Everything works, but four seats go to people who barely log in.
  • On Business, smart mix: 8 full seats is $2,400 a year, plus lower-cost or free collaborator access for the four reviewers, if their tasks fit that license type.

The smart mix saves about a third. Before you buy, list every person and write down what they actually do in the tool each week. That list decides your bill more than the plan does.

Signs you picked the wrong plan

  • You export to Excel every week to build reports. You may need Business dashboards and reports, or Pinnacle for deeper analytics.
  • Requests arrive by email and chat. Business request forms fix this.
  • Half your seats log in once a month. Move them to a lighter license at renewal.
  • You are at 14 users on Team and hiring. Plan the Business move now, before user 16 forces it mid-year.

How Wrike compares

ToolEntry paid planMid plan
WrikeTeam $10Business $25
AsanaStarter $10.99Advanced $24.99
monday.comBasic $9Pro $19
ClickUpUnlimited $7Business $12
SmartsheetPro $9Business $19

All prices per user a month, billed yearly. Wrike Business is one of the pricier mid plans. It earns that with proofing, request forms and resource planning, which marketing and creative teams use heavily.

Who should pay for Wrike Business

  • Marketing and creative teams that review files and need approvals
  • Service teams taking requests through forms
  • PMOs that need resource and workload planning across projects

If none of these fit, Team or a cheaper tool may serve you better.

How to keep Wrike costs down

  • Start on Team if you are under 15 people and do not need proofing.
  • Give light users a lower license type. Wrike has different license types, such as collaborators, for people who only update tasks. Check what each can do before you buy.
  • Use the 14-day trial on a real project, not a demo.
  • Ask about discounts for nonprofits, multi-year deals or larger seat counts.
  • Review seats before renewal. Remove people who left.
